Arshdeep Singh Set to Reach Major T20I Milestone in South Africa Series

As India prepares for a four-match T20I series against South Africa, seamer Arshdeep Singh is eyeing a significant milestone in the shortest format of the game. The 24-year-old has played 56 T20Is since his debut in 2022, taking 87 wickets at an economy rate of 8.28. He is now just 13 wickets away from becoming the first Indian cricketer to take 100 wickets in T20Is.

Jasprit Bumrah, another key pacer for India, is not part of the squad for this series as he has been rested for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Bumrah is currently the third-highest wicket-taker for India in T20Is, with 89 wickets from 70 matches at an economy rate of 6.27.
The T20I series between India and South Africa begins on November 8 at Kingsmead Cricket Stadium in Durban, with the remaining matches scheduled for Gqeberha, Centurion, and Johannesburg.
