Brighton Appoint Daniel Niedzkowski as Assistant Head Coach
Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed the appointment of Daniel Niedzkowski as assistant head coach. The German coach, 47, will officially join the club in January 2025, pending work permit approval. Niedzkowski leaves his position as head of the German Football Association's (DFB) coaches training programme to reunite with Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler, who trained under him in Germany.

Hurzeler, who became Brighton manager earlier this year, expressed enthusiasm for Niedzkowski’s arrival:
"He will be an excellent addition to our coaching team. I know him well from Germany and have wanted to bring him on board for some time."

Brighton's technical director, David Weir, highlighted Niedzkowski’s expertise in nurturing young talent, aligning with Brighton’s strategy of developing players through their academy:
"He knows what it takes to get the best out of young footballers and help them progress to the first team. His role will also involve enhancing coach education across both our men’s and women’s teams."
Coaching Experience
Niedzkowski brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as an assistant coach at Bayer Leverkusen and managed Germany's Under-21 team.
