Rauf's introduction changed the course of the game as he immediately caused problems, with Smith being dropped off his third delivery. Rauf then dismissed Josh Inglis and Marnus Labuschagne in quick succession, leaving Australia in deep trouble. Smith, who had played some brilliant strokes, fell to a short and wide delivery from Hasnain.
Haris Rauf produced a brilliant bowling display, taking 5 wickets for 29 runs to lead Pakistan's relentless attack as they bowled Australia out for just 163 in the second ODI at Adelaide Oval. Opting to bowl on a green-tinged pitch, Pakistan's pace attack, spearheaded by Rauf, exploited the movement and bounce, leaving the Australian batsmen struggling throughout their innings.
Australia's start seemed promising with openers Matthew Short and Jake Fraser-McGurk racing to 20/0 in just two overs. However, the Pakistani pacers soon found their rhythm. Afridi trapped Fraser-McGurk LBW with an inswinger, and a dropped catch off Naseem Shah gave Australia a brief reprieve. Short was dismissed soon after, and Steve Smith (35) looked promising before being dismissed off a wide ball by Mohammad Hasnain.

Despite efforts from Aaron Hardie and Glenn Maxwell, neither batter was able to get comfortable, and Rauf's second spell accounted for both their wickets. Only Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa's late boundaries provided some resistance, as Australia finished their innings on 163 all out in 35 overs.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi provided great support to Rauf, taking 3 wickets for 26 runs. Pakistan's fielding was sharp, with wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan taking six catches. Despite the low total, Australia will hope their pacers can make use of the surface to fight back.
