The highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match in the 2024 Men’s 50-over U19 Asia Cup is set to take place on November 30 at the Dubai International Stadium. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has released the full schedule for the tournament, which will run from November 29 to December 8 in Dubai and Sharjah. India’s U19 team will compete in Group A, facing Japan and UAE in their group stage matches on December 2 and 4, respectively, in Sharjah. The top two teams from Groups A and B will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for December 6, followed by the final on December 8 in Dubai.
Group B includes defending champions Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Nepal. Bangladesh will open the tournament against Afghanistan on November 29, while Sri Lanka and Nepal will also play their first match on the same day. This will be the 11th edition of the Men’s U19 Asia Cup, with the tournament first being held in Bangladesh in 1989. Japan, Nepal, and UAE qualified for this edition by excelling in the 2023 ACC Men’s Under-19 Premier Cup.
Bangladesh enters the tournament as the defending champion, having defeated UAE by a massive 195 runs in the 2023 final. India, however, holds the record for the most U19 Asia Cup titles with eight wins, while Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh each have one title.
