Kagiso Rabada of South Africa has ascended to the top of the ICC Test bowling rankings, dethroning India's Jasprit Bumrah. Rabada, who recently achieved the milestone of 300 Test wickets, showcased his talent in the first Test against Bangladesh by claiming nine wickets, which played a crucial role in South Africa's decisive victory. This marks Rabada's return to the No. 1 spot for the first time since 2019.
In contrast, Bumrah struggled in the second Test against New Zealand, where he failed to take any wickets on a turning pitch, resulting in his drop to third place behind Rabada and Australia’s Josh Hazlewood. Ravichandran Ashwin, India's ace off-spinner, also slipped two spots to fourth place following a less impactful performance.

Changes in Batting Rankings
The batting charts saw significant shifts as well. Virat Kohli, a stalwart of Indian cricket, dropped out of the top 10 after a disappointing performance in Pune, falling six places to 14th. Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant also faced consequences for a lackluster outing, moving down to 11th place. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has suffered a steep decline, dropping out of the top 20 and settling at 24th.
The only Indian cricketer remaining in the top 10 is Yashasvi Jaiswal, who holds the third position. England's Joe Root maintains his lead at the top of the batting rankings despite recent low scores against Pakistan. On the rise is Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel, who jumped 20 places to seventh, while New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra entered the top 10 following his consistent performances against India.
In the all-rounder rankings, Indian veterans Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin continue to hold strong positions at the top, demonstrating their prowess in all facets of the game.
