KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty Announce Pregnancy: ‘Our Beautiful Blessing is Coming Soon. 2025’

Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty recently shared their joyous news of expecting their first child in 2025. The couple made the announcement through a heartfelt post on social media that read, “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025.” The two tied the knot in January 2023, after reportedly meeting through a mutual friend in 2019.

Currently, Rahul is in Australia representing India A in a series against Australia A as part of his preparation for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Despite being selected for India’s senior Test squad, Rahul has faced challenges in form since his return to the Test lineup. He was dropped after the first Test against New Zealand last month, with Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan taking his place and making a strong impact by scoring a century in his debut match. India, however, struggled in that series, enduring a 0-3 whitewash by New Zealand, marking their first such defeat at home.

KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty aren’t the only members of the Indian cricket family expecting a new addition. There is speculation that Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, are also expecting their second child, which might lead Rohit to miss the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar series in Perth. Recently, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma also welcomed their second child, a son named Akaay, with Kohli having taken a break from the series against England for the birth.

Team India, meanwhile, is set to play South Africa tonight in the first of four T20I matches, and Rahul is expected to return to the senior team lineup for the highly anticipated series against Australia.
