The Lanka T10 Super League, set to make its debut in Sri Lanka's cricketing calendar, announced the names of the six franchise teams that will compete in its inaugural season. The tournament aims to showcase the thrilling format of T10 cricket, bringing together local and international talents.
Franchise Teams:
The six teams participating in the Lanka T10 Super League are:
- Colombo Strikers
- Galle Marvels
- Jaffna Titans
- Kandy Bolts
- Hambantota Bangla Tigers
- Negombo Braves

Key Dates:
- Player Draft: Scheduled for November 10 in Colombo, this event will see franchises select their players.
- Tournament Dates: The league will take place from December 12 to 22.
Player Signing Structure:
Each franchise is required to sign a diverse roster of players, with specific guidelines on player categories:
- Direct Signings: Each franchise must secure six players from various categories, including:
- One Icon player
- One Platinum player
- One Category A player from Sri Lanka and one from overseas
- One Category B player from Sri Lanka and one from overseas
Draft Format:
The draft will consist of 11 rounds, with the selection order for the first round determined by a manual draw. Subsequent rounds will utilize a randomizer to ensure fairness among franchises.
Player Pricing Structure:
- Rounds 1 & 2: Selection of one Sri Lankan and one overseas player at USD 35,000 each.
- Rounds 3 & 4: Another Sri Lankan and overseas player at USD 20,000 each.
- Rounds 5 to 7: Two Sri Lankan and one overseas player at USD 10,000 each.
- Round 8: An emerging Sri Lankan player for USD 2,500.
- Round 9: An emerging player from Zimbabwe or the West Indies for USD 2,500.
