Afghanistan's veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has announced that he will retire from One Day International (ODI) cricket after the upcoming Champions Trophy. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) CEO, Naseeb Khan, confirmed this decision, stating that Nabi had informed the board of his intentions several months ago.
"Nabi will retire from ODIs after the Champions Trophy, and we support his decision," said Naseeb Khan. "He plans to continue his T20 career after this, which is the current plan."
Nabi, who made his ODI debut in 2009 against Scotland, has been a key figure for Afghanistan in the format. He has played 165 ODIs, amassing 3549 runs at an average of 27.30, while also taking 171 wickets.
