RCB Defeats DC by Six Wickets in IPL Match

RCB defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets in a thrilling IPL match on Sunday in New Delhi. Krunal Pandya was the man behind RCB's victory as he made 73 off 47 balls in an unbeaten performance. The match saw RCB chase the target of 162/8 by DC with 1.3 overs still left.

DC took to bat first and was initially rocked, losing wickets at a regular pace. KL Rahul anchored DC's run-score with 41 runs from 39 balls. Even his innings couldn't continue the rest of the batting unit, however Axar Patel was the only other scoring batter with the bat. There was some late excitement to the innings provided by the 18-ball 34 of Tristan Stubbs that propelled DC to a respectable score. The bowling of RCB is as effective as ever, with Bhuveshwar Kumar taking three wickets for 33 runs, and Josh Hazlewood chipping in with two wickets for 36 runs. There was also support from Krunal Pandya and Yash Dayal for a wicket each.

The run chase by RCB was led by Virat Kohli. The star batsman scored a good 51 runs, giving the anchor to the chase as Krunal Pandya went on to dominate the DC bowlers. His calm and peaceful 73 not out led RCB to their target of 163 runs. RCB reached 165/4 in 18.3 overs, with Tim David sealing the game with a quick 19 not out from only 5 balls. Axar Patel was DC's best bowler, taking two wickets for 19 runs.

The win put RCB in a better position as the side comfortably overhauled the target, helped by an exceptional all-round performance. The game was an important one for RCB as their IPL campaign goes on, while Delhi Capitals will look for a comeback in their upcoming games.
