As the excitement builds for the Hong Kong Sixes 2024, Robin Uthappa is gearing up to lead the Indian team in this dynamic tournament. The seasoned right-handed batter shared his enthusiasm, stating that it is an honor to captain the side.

“I’m very excited to be a part of the Hong Kong Sixes 2024, and it’s an honor to lead the Indian team. Some great cricketing action is coming your way on November 1, 2, and 3,” Uthappa expressed in a statement released by Hong Kong Cricket.

The Indian squad, which includes notable players like Kedar Jadhav, Manoj Tiwary, Stuart Binny, Shreevats Goswami, Bharat Chipli, and Shahbaz Nadeem, is eager to showcase their skills in this fast-paced format. Chipli shared his enthusiasm, saying, “It’s a great feeling to represent India in the Hong Kong Sixes 2024, which ensures some nail-biting encounters and entertaining performances.”

Goswami echoed this sentiment, stating, “The Hong Kong Sixes is a distinguished format of the game, and I can’t wait to represent India.” Meanwhile, all-rounder Stuart Binny highlighted the thrill of competing against some of the best cricketers globally, saying, “I’m thrilled to represent India in Hong Kong Sixes 2024 and looking forward to playing against some of the best players in the world.”

Hong Kong’s skipper, Nizakat Khan, also encouraged cricket fans, stating, “Get ready, all the Hong Kong cricket fans, as the Hong Kong Sixes is back after seven years. The competition will be played from November 1 to November 3.”

The tournament will kick off on November 1 at the Tin Kwong Road Cricket Ground, featuring 12 teams competing in exhilarating six-a-side matches. The opening match will see hosts Hong Kong take on South Africa, followed by the highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan on the same day.
