Salman Khan becomes Brand Ambassador for First Kho Kho World Cup 2025 to be held in New Delhi
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been named the brand ambassador for the first-ever Kho Kho World Cup 2025, to be held in New Delhi. This exciting partnership will attract more attention and recognition for this ancient Indian sport, as Salman Khan's massive popularity is expected to enhance the global appeal of the event. The tournament is going to be a landmark event in the world of Kho Kho.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been announced as the official brand ambassador of the first-ever Kho Kho World Cup, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from January 13 to 19, 2025. The KKFI made the announcement at a press event conducted at the National Players Training Camp, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Speaking at the function, Salman Khan said he is ecstatic with the historic event. "I have had many exciting experiences with Kho Kho. This one is a major milestone for this sport," he remembered with nostalgia. "It's an honor to be a part of the first-ever Kho Kho World Cup. The event is not just another sporting tournament but a celebration of the spirit, strength, and cultural heritage of India," he said.
A total of 41 teams, out of 21 men's and 20 women's teams representing 24 countries, is to contest in the Kho Kho World Cup, a clear indicator of the growth in global interest for this sport. A demonstration match by high-profile players including Pratik Waiker, Aditya Ganpule, Ramji Kashyap, and Priyanka Ingle gave an outlook of the higher standard games that will come out by January.
KKFI President, Shri Sudhanshu Mittal thanked Salman Khan. "We are very grateful to Salman Khan for associating himself with this global event. His passion for Kho Kho and the growth of this sport is inspiring, and we are sure that his association will attract nationwide attention to the World Cup," added Mittal.
Indian Olympic Association (IOA) too has pledged full support for the Kho Kho Federation of India in conducting this first-time event. It collaborates to provide an international platform to kho kho, where this game reaches a greater number of people by giving fair chances to each participating team.
The KKFI aims at equalizing the recognition and opportunities both men and women get during this historic event. The competitive matches of the week are a promise to all fans across the globe for an exciting tournament.
The Kho Kho Federation of India is an India-based federation founded as the governing body for kho kho. It organizes the national championships and, apart from this, also has the management of state associations. The KKFI collaborates with another annual franchise-based league as well, Ultimate Kho Kho.
