Virat Kohli's Demented Celebrations As RCB End 10-Year Jinx With Nerve-Wracking Win Over MI

Suryakumar Yadav also found it difficult to score freely and the pressure continued to mount. Then Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya appeared who reversed the game with some breathtaking shots. Varma, who retired injured in the previous game, was back strongly with a quick 56 from 29 balls. Hardik took his cue from him and dispatched 42 of just 15 balls. They both helped put hope back for MI as they took the equation to 41 needed off 18 balls.

Just when it seemed like MI could pull off a miracle Bhuvneshwar Kumar sent back Tilak Varma and Josh Hazlewood got Hardik Pandya. 28 runs remained off 12 balls and Krunal Pandya was asked to bowl the last over. He did not let the fans down. He removed three wickets including Mitchell Santner and Deepak Chahar off consecutive balls. Although Boult and Dhir Naman attempted to fight until the last Krunal had Dhir in the fifth delivery and wrapped the game for RCB.

Krunal Pandya ended with impressive figures of 4 for 45. Yash Dayal and Hazlewood picked two wickets each as well. It was a massive team effort with the bat and the ball that led RCB to put an end to their wait for a win at Wankhede since 2015.
